Coastline

Why is it that I can no longer feel it?
Cause my fate was there and then you sealed it
Everything's an act and that's the only fact
Why does everyone act like its gonna be the same forever
Why didn't they warn us when we were children
That everything's and act and that's the only fact
I cross my Coastline
The sand's so deep but something's buried inside
Push it push it back push it against the tide
We try we try we wanna feel alive
Castle's walls are caving in
Traumatized by the water's sin
A friend they thought the waves had been
But now their walls are caving in
Negativity thrives beneath the sea it's so clear to me
Clear as the water crashing into me, clear as the water crashing into me

Sonny
Now you're older than you've ever been
Oh and hardly
Is how often you think it will end
Jimmy
What's going on inside that head
Oh envy
Yes I think that's what you said
Maybe when you're older
C'mon sonny
You're now older than you've ever been
Oh and Jimmy
You're getting under your own skin
Maybe when you're older
Maybe then

Gotta Get Away
02:08
|

I've been walking down the street all day and now I'm back inside
'Cause there's nothing to do under the sun except to run and hide
'Cause I'm older now it arrived somehow and I gotta get away
I've got a weight on my shoulders like a pile of boulders and I'm sick of the sun's rays
Take me back, I gotta get away
So I thought you said we're as good as dead and I'm starting to agree
I got nothing to do nothing to lose and nowhere else to be
I'm getting sick of it all sick of these walls and this daily routine
I'm gonna break away one of these days and find a beautiful new scene
Take me back, I gotta get away

Sanity Was Scarce
04:54
|
|||
Approaching such long forgotten places
Sanity was scarce all among the faces
And it moved away with such distaste
That it managed to illuminate each and every watching face
Still they stare with their own discontent
All proclaiming their own innocence
Never stopping to think about
Why or where or when or how the hell were they gonna get out of there
None was said by those who within the darkness
They knew it well but they spoke still regardless
Sit on back, enjoy the show
I promise you the crowd will soon begin to grow
Over and over again
Returning from the end of a long voyage
Approaching long forgotten sunny places
And sanity was scarce all among the faces
And it moved away with such distaste illuminated each watching face
And still they stare with discontent
All proclaiming their own innocence
And they never stop, never stop
Oh and none was said by all who sat there within the darkness
